Therefore, the organizers chose a theme to honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. This was an evening of tribute to, and remembrance of, our veterans complete with "Big Band" music provided by the O'Fallon Township High School Jazz Ensemble.
There was a $100 lottery scratcher ticket tree and 50/50 drawings. New this year: a Plinko style game!

Senator Schimpf retired from the Marine Corps in 2013 and returned to his hometown of Waterloo, IL with wife, Lori, to raise their two sons.

President Ronald Reagan’s first Inaugural Address – January, 1981
“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else?”
